Delve into marine ecosystems and ocean processes whilst exploring some of the most remote places on earth.<br/><br/>On your three-year Oceanography degree, accredited by the Institute of Marine Engineering Science and Technology, you will learn to use the latest technologies in molecular biology, high performance computing, and robotic sampling to address the key challenges facing the marine environment.<br/><br/>You will study at the National Oceanography Centre Southampton (NOCS), one of the world’s largest centres devoted to research, teaching, and technology development in ocean and Earth science, where you will make use of the excellent teaching and cutting-edge research labs as well as our fleet of research vessels and graduate primed to pursue an extensive range of careers.*<br/><br/>You will be taught by expert staff, many of whom are leaders in their research fields and are working on international projects covering a variety of different challenges from climate change to the exploitation of our oceans.<br/><br/>Fieldwork, practical skills, and independent research are core elements of this programme. Whilst studying at Southampton you will have the opportunity to:<br/><br/><br/>- Work in the field aboard the research vessel the R.V.
