Summary
Accounting and finance influence how organisations think, operate and grow across the world. At Southampton, you will explore how financial insight and strategy connect, and how they shape decisions on a global scale.
This four-year degree builds a strong foundation in financial and managerial accounting, investment and finance, while giving you the opportunity to broaden your perspective. In your third year, you will study abroad at one of our partner institutions across Europe, North America, Australia, Asia or at our Malaysia campus. This experience helps you develop cultural awareness, global outlook and confidence in new environments.
Alongside this, you will explore pathways towards professional accountancy recognition and develop expertise in areas such as international banking, marketing, HR or project management. From audit and taxation to financial reporting, you will learn to apply theory in practice, including opportunities to present your work to audit partners from PwC.
As part of a Russell Group university ranked in the top 100 globally for Accounting and Finance (QS World University Rankings by Subject 2026), your learning is shaped by research and real-world insight.
