Business management

(5)·By julia p·Business· Jun 2024
At university, pursuing a business management course opens doors to a world of opportunities and learning experiences. Pairing this with comfortable accommodation at West Down enhances the overall college experience. Living in such cool accommodations provides a conducive environment for studying and personal growth. Beyond academics, the social life thrives, with opportunities to meet like-minded individuals, engage in extracurricular activities, and build lifelong friendships. With a balance of academic rigor and vibrant social interactions, university life becomes a fulfilling journey towards personal and professional development.

Journalism, Year 2

Freshers week was great! There was also stands around the uni all we for general help and advice. The staff / students helping were also very useful. The uni accommodation is good for value. Also, the student ambassadors are usually always on hand to assist with anything, and also occasionally give items to help those in accommodation. The facilities are above and beyond. The library is 3 floors covering most topics, and practical rooms such a halls and the news room and up to date and spacious. The lectures and course as a whole are going well. The university has adapted well to the changes, and all the information is fully accessible and easy to understand. For a quiet city, there's always something to do in Winchester. During the day, the town has a decent range of shops. At night, you have the local nightclub as well as a Spoons most students visit.

It was informative and gave us a chance to meet everyone on the course Lovely accommodation. Rooms are a good size and furnished well. Communal space is nice. Smart and modern. The library is great with loads of desks, computers and books. They are interactive. The lecturers are thorough and it's interesting as a subject Busy and always something to do or visit.

I made the most of a wonderful uni and course!

The best thing for me is the SU, as it's so well run and they offer loads of different activities. I had enough time to enjoy everything - I had jobs on both campuses, was a part of a couple of societies and managed to volunteer too! I always felt safe, comfortable and happy at Winchester and got myself a brilliant degree. The Drama Studies staff were really supportive and somehow managed to tailor the course for each and every one of us, so that it suited our strengths and interests :)

Drama Dance and Cinematics, Year 1

(5)·By Alexandra W·Drama· Oct 2018
I have been at university at Winchester since September 2016 and met new people, got a new job and gained more independents. I feel like I have gained more independents because I am away from home (the north) and I am having to be more aware with money, living safety and doing things on my own. This has made me grow as a person already because I am more comforable to go out and explore with confidence. I have also been able to learn more about my subject that I am studying in a good environment.

Marketing, Graduate

Teachers at The University of Winchester are absolutely fantastic, as it is a smaller university you get to build more of a relationship with them and they understand your learning tactics much more in depth. It is a welcoming campus, with lots of coffee shops and places you can get Pizza. The library is open 24/7 which is fantastic.

The Student Union is one of the best in the country, after visiting many universitys before picking Winchester I saw the standard of many around the nation. However Winchester's physical SU is much nicer than the others, and they put a lot of effort into the different night outs they arrange, for example jungle themed nights, great gatsby summer balls! Winchester town is a lovely place to live, it is a cosmopolitan city with lots of bars and nice places to eat. Living with people can be challenging, but thats the same at any university, at least with Winchester you can be rest assured there are many societies you can join in with if you don't get on with your housemates. There is even a dessert tasting society for those that aren't overly keen on sport or politics which is fabulous.
