BEng(Hons) Civil Engineering introduces you to the broad spectrum of civil and environmental engineering.<br/><br/>This course meets Engineering Council guidelines, allowing you to become an Incorporated Engineer (IEng) and progress to Masters level study and Chartered Engineer (CEng) status.<br/><br/>Learn about structures and materials, soil mechanics, hydraulics, hydrology and risk management. Apply what youve learned through projects based on real-world scenarios. Complete placements provided by our partner employers and get their advice on CV-writing and interview techniques. <br/><br/>Gain an inside track on the profession through site visits and professional briefings with leading organisations across the UK. Demonstrate your ideas at the annual degree show and attend careers fairs and engineer speed dating events to help you find work as soon as you graduate. <br/><br/>Careers will be varied, with opportunities in the UK and overseas in areas such as structural design, water, power, road or railway infrastructure engineering, business planning and cost forecasting. Many graduates continue studying on MSc courses, either full-time or part-time alongside their Initial Professional Development.

Pearson BTEC Level 3 National Extended Diploma (first teaching from September 2016)

One of the following BTEC Diplomas: Aeronautical Engineering; Applied Science; Construction and the Built Environment; Electrical/Electronic Engineering; Engineering; Land-based Technology; Manufacturing Engineering; Mechanical Engineering; or Operations and Maintenance Engineering. Leaving Certificate - Higher Level (Ireland) (first awarded in 2017)
H2 in Mathematics plus a pass in one of the following subjects: Biology; Chemistry; Engineering; Physics; Technology.
GCSE/National 4/National 5
Grade C/4 in English and Mathematics, or equivalent.
OCR Cambridge Technical Extended Diploma
You must be studying one of the following: Mechanical, Electrical and Electronic Systems Design and Engineering; Engineering Automation Control and Manufacturing Processes; Electrical and Electronic Engineering; Mechanical Engineering and Design; Automation, Systems and Control; Manufacturing To include Merit in the following (optional) unit: Applied Mathematics for Engineering.
A level
Grade C in Mathematics plus a pass in one of the following subjects: Biology, Chemistry, Computing/Computer Science, Design and Technology, Electronics, Engineering, ICT, Further Maths, Music Technology, Physics, Statistics.
T Level
You must achieve a Grade C in A-Level Mathematics in addition to your T Level qualification. If you have or are looking to partially complete your T-Level you are still required to have the equivalent to 2 full A-Levels as part of our minimum entry requirements. As a result, if you are applying with only the core or occupational specialism, this may be insufficient as a stand-alone qualification.
WJEC Level 3 Advanced Skills Baccalaureate Wales
We accept tariff points achieved from the Advanced Skills Baccalaureate Wales in conjunction with other Level 3 qualifications. This qualification cannot be used to satisfy any subject specific entry requirements.
