On the BA (Hons) Film Production course, you’ll bring your original ideas to life on the big screen. You'll work together with talented collaborators throughout the creative process—developing imaginative concepts, realising captivating designs, and mastering the intricacies of screenwriting, producing, production design, sound, cinematography, editing, and directing. Our unique learning model places students in real-world production settings, allowing aspiring filmmakers to work in a vibrant film community which offers natural collaborations with your creative peers.
You’ll gain a broad understanding of filmmaking while developing specialist knowledge of various roles and their unique skill sets. Our hands-on experience boosts employability, targeting industry skills gaps and nurturing both practical knowledge and individual resilience. Reflecting the Arts University’s ethos, this course emphasises practical learning within a supportive academic environment. Alongside practical filmmaking, you’ll study cinema in breadth and depth, exploring fiction and non-fiction, experimental and commercial filmmaking, enriching your knowledge of film culture and deepening your artistic exploration.
