Pharmacy, chemistry and biosciences students benefit from new, state-of-the-art laboratories. Sports and nutrition students can access a brand-new nutrition kitchen and industry-standard biomechanics and exercise physiology laboratories. Forensic science students can gain real-world experience in our scene-of-crime house, using specialist equipment and precise techniques to obtain and preserve samples and evidence.

Our new cyber security centre of excellence has unique live threat intelligence facilities. They can also use the CAVE (Centre for Augmented and Virtual Reality Environments), which contains virtual reality headsets, eye trackers and sensors to monitor movements and brain activity.

Specialist psychology laboratories are equipped with high-specification equipment and software (such as electroencephalogram (EEG), eye-tracking, behavioural recording, and general cognitive and physiological testing).

All students are required to pay tuition fees, which cover the key elements of teaching, assessment and operating university facilities such as the library, IT equipment and other support services.

Depending on the course, there may be extra costs which are not covered by tuition fees. Where a course has additional expenses, we make every effort to highlight them on our course pages on our website.
