Journalism, Year 2

It was very thrilling and a fun new experience!! Accommodations are very welcoming and homely. All the basic necessities are there and more with wonderful views of the countryside The library is a maze full of endless books sectioned into all sorts of themes and topics! Classrooms are motivating for the work environment and the student union is also very energetic I love the teachers and the different perspective of topics we cover within the journalism subject. Different modules welcome different ideas which are very mind opening. Teachers support and way of teaching to make each individual understand the given subject is very good. City life in bath is quite good! I myself don't really go out for the city life I rather much stay at hone and watch movies. Bristol is also nearby and accessible with much more city life and a lot more multiculturalism

Best 3 years of my life

Gorgeous setting for a small and friendly campus. The lecturers are so knowledgeable and easy to talk to. I had the most fantastic 3 years and would recommend BSU to anyone.

Art / Design, Graduate

Freshers week was great, very active and busy! Great to get to know everyone. I was in a new build accommodation that year so it was very fresh and clean/modern They were great, very easy to use. The course helped me understand more about typography and graphics when I have more of an illustration background which helped after uni City life was amazing, I'd like to go back and live in bath.

Art / Design, Year 3

Freshers was the best time of my life. Made friends for life! The halls of residence I stayed in were very nice. Clean, homely and lively. Would recommend All areas were relatively new if not newly built. Lots of study spaces but also areas to socialise etc Every single person is friendly and willing to help every student. Bath is quiet, but it is very homely and beautiful. Easy to get around too.

English, Year 3

My three years at Bath Spa University have been some of the best years of my life! It's given me so many opportunities inside and outside uni for my teaching career and I've met so many amazing people and learnt so many life lessons along the way. There's so many societies to choose from and the English Literature lecturers are so enthusiastic and are real experts in their fields! The nightlife in Bath is great too, there's a club for whatever kind of music you're into and there's a huge array of quirky bars and pubs. There's something for everyone at Bath Spa!

Music, Year 2

Pretty dead. The clubs in bath aren't amazing, needs more variety of music in clubs maybe some 80's stuff. That would be popular. People got scammed for wrist bands, luckily I didn't get one. Pretty nice accommodation at green park. Was basically a hotel, very thick walls, big kitchen, nice bathrooms and reception area, pool table and tv's. The facilities are great. They have everything you need and plenty of space to do work / rehearsals The lecturers are really into what they're teaching and have valuable experience which we can learn from. They're very supportive and always there to help no matter how big or small the problem is . Bath isn't much of a clubbing city. However, it has nice views and shops, lovely cafes and places to eat.

Other, Year 1

Amazing! Straight into it without being overwhelming. The lecturers have been very clear about what's going to happen and what we're doing. All the module handbooks are easily accessible and clearly laid out. They're fun and practical courses with a lot of opportunities in them.

Music, Year 2

(4.8)·By Joseph T·Music· Jul 2021
It was great, I met so many people on my course as well as people not on my course. Good variety. Top stuff. Really nice rooms and worth the money. The student union is sick. I've played some gigs there as well as watched people play. Everyone's always in a good mood there and it's a great place to have a pint The lecturers all have expirience within the industry I chose and have a variety of expirience as well. Whatever section of the industry you want to go into, there's a lecturer to ask advice from. The city life is great at all times of year. There's always something going on, markets, buskers etc. Great views as well.

Art / Design, Year 2

(4.5)·By Emilia D·Art· Jul 2021
As an art and design student, freshers week is quite poor. You start your course straight away with 9am's every morning so you can't enjoy your nights out as much. Very small flats in terms of people, I got put in a flat of 4 and the other three people were girls too. Communal space is very boring too, not really the first year halls vibes you're after. As an art and design student you only really have time for your course as it's 9-5 monday to friday. Student union is based on campus and I've only ever been there once. The course is very thorough and challenging. The lectures are very reachable and can be a great help when needed. Bath is very pretty and amazing in the winter/Christmas time. The nightlife is quite tame but there are some amazing cocktail bars.
