(3)·By Nicole F·Biology· Jul 2021 Small university centre so we don't have much of a freshers week unfornunately. We had a small event on campus with some stalls, where we got some discount codes and free stationary. We arranged a private “freshers night” on our course. I lived at home so I can't directly comment. Although a few friends who did live in student accommodation had mixed reviews. Some of the houses were very under regulated with parties most nights so my friend couldn't sleep. Classrooms and library were great. Our library wasn't immensely stocked, but we had access to use the library at Lancaster university as they were our degree governing body. Laboratories needed a bit of modernisation and were lacking compared to others. There was a few areas for students to chill out and also a few quiet spaces for students to work in groups or as individuals. Very small class sizes, so lots of one to one time with tutors. This greatly benefited many on the course. The lectures were mostly good depending on the lecturer. We had access to all lectures on an online portal afterwards also which was great to go over if needed. Blackpool isn't only a town, so again I cannot really comment on this.
