<strong>Become a specialist mental health nurse with our MSc in Mental Health Nursing.</strong><br/><br/>Open to students from any academic background, this postgraduate degree equips you with the essential knowledge and skills to practise as a confident, capable, and compassionate mental health nurse. Upon successful completion, you will be eligible to register with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) and begin your career as a registered mental health nurse.<br/><br/>Focusing on a person-centred approach, the course will help you develop into a reflective, creative, and effective practitioner. Through a blend of classroom learning and hands-on experience, you will build confidence in both academic and clinical environments.<br/><br/>Over the two-year programme, you will explore the theory underpinning mental health nursing whilst gaining valuable experience on placement. Working in diverse settings, including the home and community, you will apply your learning in real-life scenarios, deepening your understanding of how to support individuals with a range of mental health needs.<br/><br/>You will also benefit from access to our on-campus simulation suite, where you can practise your clinical and communication skills in a realistic, supportive setting before beginning your placements.<br/><br/>This course has been developed in collaboration with service users and experienced professionals, ensuring a holistic curriculum that reflects contemporary mental health care. With its inclusive and practice-focused approach, the MSc will prepare you to lead and innovate in nursing care, placing service users at the heart of everything you do. <br/><br/><strong>Professional accreditation</strong><br/><br/>Our MSc Nursing courses are accredited by the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC).
