Other Course - Not Listed, Year 1

(3.8)·By Lauren B·Other· Mar 2019
It was very good ans overall informative and reassuring as I felt so nervous before attending but it helped feel like I was going first to fit in well. It helped to know for sure that I made the best choice possible.

There are amazing facilities at Guildford college! It’s so comfortable and relaxing which is so perfect because it can be daunting if you haven’t seen the accommodations at any other places of education before.

The library is lovely, it’s tidy and well run. It’s also full and very updated which is important to me. The class to rooms are well sized and once again tidy which makes it a great environment to learn in. There is a gym attached to the collage which isn’t is perfect if you needn’t to keep up with your fitness.

THEY are jam packed witg handsome on learning and it hasn’t given me everything I need to succeed including my chosen job role. I feel confident in my qualifications and no that is thanks to the experienced teachers that have been given the responsibility of sharing their knowledge of the field.

It Is quite busy and manic as we aren’t busy by the centre of the town but it’s got a great atmosphere and an amazing life it it! It’s very diverse as there is such an interesting mix of people doing different things so close to each other which Is fun to see.

You should be aware that there is a lot of portfolio and theory work involved as well as personal work to do outside of class. Confidence is key as you will be working on clients very soon after learning in practical classes. You have to work fast and take a lot of notes to work on later for tests later on. The tests are short and not to lengthy but the pass mark is 70% so you have to know your stuff

Equine Management HND Level 5

(2.5)·By Sophie H·Other· Oct 2018
A really great course that covers a wide range of topics within the equine industry. The Merrist Wood campus is a lovely campus, that is pretty rural, but still only 15 minutes away from central Guildford. You get the opportunity to complete BHS Stages, ride a wide range of different horses and the lecturers are amazing. Great one to one help if you need it and a lot of the lectures I thoroughly enjoy.

Very interesting lectures that are in a seminar format, meaning small groups and help whenever you need it. All the lecturers are approachable and very knowledgeable. You study both academically and practically which is great as everyday you have a mix of classroom and yard which means you dont often get bored!

There is no accommodation here at Guildford!

Great public transport links into Guildford, London and the surrounding areas. Mainly countryside but the city is easily accessible. Guildford had loads of great shops and resturants to keep you occupied.

The library is fanatastic, however the buildings are a little shabby. It needs an update and the food in the canteens is pretty bad and overpriced! Definitely cook your own!
