Other, Year 2

This is my Year 2 at Italia Conti and I am enjoying every second of it! I'm lucky enough to have a scholarship which means my rent is paid for however I still have to work for food and pleasure! I have some absolutely beautifully talented friends who I've grown to love and cherish! Wouldn't change the course for the world, I love singing, acting, and dancing for 6+ hours a day! All I've ever dreamed of!

Dance, Year 2

(4.8)·By Mollysue D·Dance· Jul 2021
Unfortunately this year freshers was unable to go ahead due to covid but a zoom week was held which included many games, drinking games etc. allowing everyone to get to know each other and be welcomed into the Conti family as at Italia Conti we are all about being one big group and getting to know everyone individually therefore by doing zoom calls this allowed the students to still have the freshers fun. Last year, (first year) we had a freshers week full of activities and events which was a perfect way to start college and start the journey into the fun filled course with people who love doing the things i love doing. Italia Conti does not have accommodation attached to the college, but they advise host families as well as other student housing accommodations around london. Due to Conti recommendation of my accommodation I am currently only a short walk away meaning I feel safe and close to Conti if I ever needed anything. The building has many students and rooms to accommodate our education to the full. We are moving building to a brand new build which is a major upgrade from our current building, but due to it being one of the oldest performing arts buildings the feel and layout of Conti makes it feel unique and more special. All the studios have what we needs and the canteen, gym and changing rooms are all appreciated also. The course fills all expectations and more. Due to musical theatre being so intense and doing days 9-6 everyday becomes exhausting but Conti prepare you for the world we will enter in the best way and the different lessons in styles you never thought you'd learn are behind belief. Each lesson is taught by professionals within the industry so the experience helps us grow and learn from the best. I couldn't fault the course and Italia Conti allows my passion for musical theatre to grow everyday. I adore the London life, the business of the streets is such a difference from where I grew up in jersey. I love how I am surrounded by theatres and so many opportunities within the arts and nothing is far away to access as the shops are just round the corner which is what I love.

Dance, Year 3

(3.8)·By Alicia F·Dance· Jul 2021
It was very inclusive. We were given lots of styles to try and we're marked on them fairly to be put into sets for our own capabilities. I felt very welcomed by everyone There is no accommodation you have to find private accommodation for housing. They are small but functional. There is the rec room to cook and eat food in. A small library with essential books and plenty of sheet music which you are free to use The course is extremely practical which I love as you are up on your feet and interacting with the learning. You cover dance singing and acting equally with exceptional teachers that are still working in the industry of musical theatre Guildford is a bit steady as there isn't great night life around. But for drinks and cocktails and dinners out it's perfect
