The University has received an overall rating of Gold, as well as securing a Gold award in the frameworks two new student experience and student outcomes categories. <br/><br/><br/>**About this course**<br/>These courses are ideal if you’re interested in the design, construction and operation of aircraft and would like to extend your studies into space.<br/><br/>You’ll examine the challenges of space flight and the benefits of using the space environment. You’ll study aerodynamics, propulsion, structures, dynamics and materials, the design of spacecraft, payloads and space dynamics, and will carry out a practical rocket design exercise.<br/><br/>Teaching includes lectures, seminars, tutorials and practical laboratory sessions, backed up by design classes and workshop sessions.<br/>Assessment is usually split between exam and continuous assessment coursework (such as reports, computer exercises, laboratories and essays).
