This course delivers a comprehensive integration of science, clinical practice, law, and ethics. You will gain in-depth knowledge of pharmaceutical formulations, develop the competencies required for safe prescribing and medication supply, and build the expertise necessary to perform clinical and diagnostic skills with confidence and precision. This course has recently been updated in line with the General Pharmaceutical Council’s standards for initial education and training for pharmacists, which enables pharmacy graduates to prescribe at the point of registration.<br/><br/>You’ll have the opportunity to learn from qualified healthcare professionals such as community, hospital, GP and industrial pharmacists as well as being immersed in inclusive simulated environments to build your communication skills and clinical knowledge in a safe environment.<br/><br/>In your final year, you’ll complete a research-based project under the supervision of a dedicated supervisor.<br/><br/><strong>Future Skills</strong><br/>Embedded within every course curriculum and throughout the whole Kingston experience, Future Skills will play a role in shaping you to become a future-proof graduate, providing you with the skills most valued by employers such as problem-solving, digital competency, and adaptability. <br/><br/>As you progress through your degree, youll learn to navigate, explore and apply these graduate skills, learning to demonstrate and articulate to employers how future skills give you the edge. <br/><br/>At Kingston University, were not just keeping up with change, were creating it. <br/><br/><strong>Career opportunities</strong><br/>You’ll graduate ready for the next steps towards becoming an independent prescribing pharmacist in the UK.
