Accounting, Year 3

It was fun! There were so many freebies being given out, so many society tryouts to do, and so many themed parties to go too! Lancaster definitely took great care of us during fresher's I live in an en-suite and while it may be small, I personally love it being really quaint and nice to live within. The kitchen is shared and if you get decent flatmates, you're settled for the rest of the year Library's accessible for 24/7 and I like that since I'm personally a night owl! Classrooms are big and well-equipped with decent technology. The student union is pretty helpful too, always being our voices to fight for things that matter the most to us The course has been challenging but it's definitely better to break through such a challenge with the lecturers. They're intelligent, knowledgeable and definitely friendly and helpful enough to help the students. I really like the welcoming vibe of Lancaster's lecturers Lancaster is quite a quaint and small town, but it has everything you need to survive there. The people are friendly and there's a lot of places to eat within the town itself and very accessible from campus

Studying at the prestigious Management School provides great career prospects. The university is very multicultural and everyone is friendly and welcoming. Lancaster is in a lovely picturesque area, there is nice nightlife, the uni provides great facilities and nice accommodation, overall, I really love the campus.

Business Studies, Year 2

Freshers week was a lot of fun! I got to know my flatmates and met a lot of people. The academic activities were also very interesting and helped decrease my nervousness at starting classes at uni.

My accommodation is fairly new and modern. I have an ensuite which is really nice and share a kitchen with 7 other people. The room isn’t too small and I really like it.

The facilities are great as they are fairly new and modern. The library is an amazing place to study with lots of different areas to study. Classrooms are comfortable and some lecture theatres are really nice. The sport centre has a variety of facilities that can satisfy many different needs which is really nice. Bars on campus range widely but overall, they have a good atmosphere and are a great place to hang out.

I study business management but I have to take modules on a variety on topics that relate to business so I study economics, accounting, business analytics in addition to management and that’s what I think is good about my course. I am not only learning about my course but about other things that are relevant and will be very useful to me in the future.

The city is really small but there are still a few things to do. There are a few major shopping brands and some good shops. It is a rather quiet place and even though it isn’t too big, it is not too hard to find something fun and interesting to do.

Students should make sure to choose they first year broadening module wisely because they are most likely going to be studying that more in depth in the next years and they should make sure they enjoy it.

Economics, Year 2

It was very exiting! Many events, got to know many people! Great organisation, made me feel like this is my new home rather than just a university id be going to for 3 years It is very clean, very good sized rooms. Good kitchens. Amazing locations all over campus Absolute state of the art facilities. Amazing library, spacious classrooms. Lectures are very organised and clear. Lecturers are always available and ready to help with any queries students may have. Life in this city is very calm, the perfect environment for studying. Not too distracting making it ideal for studying and at the same time having a good time

Drama, Graduate

I absolutely loved freshers! The uni has a college system so it was really full on. Very memorable! Lancaster's accommodation is amazing. So clean and smart and really feels like a home from home. The library is so well stocked, you can always find what you need and all of the other facilities were fantastic too! The course covered such a broad area of specialisms and really prepared me for a life in the industry. Lectures were really engaging and I enjoyed every minute of study! As a smaller city the student life was actually brilliant. Everyone lives close to everyone and you're always a stone's throw away from a good night out!

Business and management studies, Year 1

Lancaster is an amazing University which allows students to fully maximise their potential. The teaching is at the highest standards, the resources are outstanding, there are many societies and clubs to join and the accommodation is amazing. The collegiate system creates a unique atmosphere and encourages greater interaction and a sense of belonging which all students need. It is by far the best University that creates a good work-life balance and helps students get the best of both worlds.

Lancaster University has provided me with the most supportive, stimulating and challenging year of my life. The staff are great at catering to your needs. The societies and sport teams are amazing and inclusive. Lancaster as a whole is probably the best university ever.

Linguistics, Graduate

Good, the university had a comprehensive programme for students to do things throughout the week and there was a lot of support setting in. Excellent - very clean and secure. Facilities gradually improved throughout the three years, as they put a lot of funding into facility development. You knew each member of staff knew their stuff, and they were always supportive in learning if ever you needed help. Lancaster as a city is lovely - small, but a nice, friendly and welcoming place to live.

Marketing, Year 2

(4.8)·By Rachel H·Marketing· Jul 2021
It wasn't as intense and exciting as I expected - the issue with colleges are that the events are smaller and have less budget than if the students union could do it alone. The first night was the best when they turned the bar into a club night. Really good value. Theres plenty of plug sockets, good quality furniture, I had a sink in my room, and ut was in a great location. I was in standard at Grizedale and right over the shop. The library is good and there's loads of different types of study spaces. The sports centre is good too but used by the public as well as students so is always packed. All the bars have a different vibe so everyone can find one that suits them. I would say that there could be more study spaces scattered around. My course is very interesting and fun and we get to do realistic marketing projects. We have different lecturers who specialise in that module so you can ask them anything about marketing careers in their sector. Quite quiet , but it is small. Its more independent bars and cafes which all have their own charm once you know about them. I definitely found out more about lancaster in second year when I lived in town simply because I had the chance to explore.

Engineering, Graduate

One in a lifetime. I had an amazing time socialising and getting to know everybody, while also going out every night Very cheap which is always a bonus. It is very up to date and a cleaner came in regularly Loads of facilities to use including the leisure centre complete with a gym, swimming pools and multiple sports halls. Library is decent but could do with being a bit bigger. The SU was awful, they were very incapable The course was very detailed. I was able to source help online, from lecturers or friends if I needed to relatively easily. Overall I enjoyed the course The city was very small and bland. There wasn't much to do so you had to keep yourself entertained. Night life was limited but it's who you went with that made the night
