Absolutely surreal.

(4.5)·By Andrew M·Music· Jun 2024
The course for a start is incredible (music songwriting & performance). The material we are taught is exactly what we need and the lectures are all well-experienced professionals in their respective fields. The social life is amazing as there is a bar in the uni which holds events and there is a lot of opportunity to meet people from other courses. I stay at Cathedral Campus which is just over the road from LIPA and is a great place to live as it’s very lively however not too noisy.
All in all, the experiences I have gained through LIPA have been surreal and I have gained knowledge to help me form my own career.

Business Studies / Management, Year 3

(4.5)·By Zander W·Business· Jul 2021
It was exciting and nerve-wracking, meeting what felt like hundreds upon hundreds of new people in quick succession, most of us living on our own properly for the first time Given the chance though I'd still relive the energy and experience of that week time and time again. It's a university that adds value to the creative sector in a way that's unrivalled. LIPA is a shared experience, between a relatively small cohort of people, many of whom will go on to be some of the most influential people in the creative sector. The facilities are state of the art, the institute despite beginning to leave its younger years behind it is racing to modernise and stay cuffrent and that's reflected in the constant refurbishment and opening gof new facilities on site The course is well rounded, a brilliant mix of the practical with the theoretical, offering an understanding of everything from law to event management and from finance to marketing. Liverpool is one of the best cities in the country, it has a vibrant and thriving music scene, a strong sense of identity, and people that are a joy to know.

Amazing! The university is a dream but the principle is bringing it down.

Nothing like the movies

(4.3)·By Kyra P·Management· Jun 2023
Nothing on TV, media or even in person can prepare you for a university like LIPA. It's fast-paced, sometimes very long days yet provides plenty of time to explore your industry, the local area and everything it offers. There's no really a way to describe the people other than eclectic and passionate but you'll always find your people. The courses all work together to create performances like no other. But don't be surprised if you find yourself falling short of resources

Dance, Year 3

(4.3)·By Amelia D·Dance· Jul 2021
In Liverpool the freshers week was busy, lots going on (eg. Zoo themed nights, Foam parties). The LIPA freshers had events on every night too, but more low-key (eg. Disney karaoke nights). It was difficult to take part on dance though because our timetable was busy! There isn't any accommodation provided by LIPA, however there is lots of student villages nearby as well as student houses. I stayed at Cathedral Campus (virtually opposite LIPA) in first year, a privately owned house in second year in Toxteth and am currently at Grenville Street accommodation for my third year. Grenville is definitely my favourite by far but Cathedral is great for convenience! The facilities at LIPA are great. The library is slightly on the small side but we have access to LJMU libraries too. The studios & the equipment is top quality, and from auditioning at other drama schools, they are certainly above average. We also have our own theatre, recording studios, screen acting studios which are many other places don't! The staff at LIPA are second to none. They are all so experienced, so passionate & get to know every single student. The course offers so much opportunity for development in different areas. You get so many contact hours at LIPA too! Liverpool is an amazing city! Everyone is so friendly, and there are so many amazing things to do! It caters for so many different lifestyles, whether you're a party person or not!

Business Studies / Management, Year 3

(3.3)·By Stephen H·Business· Jul 2021
Freshers week was amazing as there was 0 covid issues then so life was normal The accommodation I was in wasn't great. It was separate housing on a campus. Cathedral campus. The rooms were old and the house was very plain The facilities were average. Had the library although it was small and lecture rooms were okay The course is very broad. I've been able to learn about key parts of the industry that will benefit me when going out into the adult world Liverpool is amazing. It's constantly busy and the range of shops, nightlife and different types of people was appreciated
