Business Studies / Management, Year 2

This years freshers week was almost inexistent at my university. We had online zoom sessions for introductions to the course, business school and university. However compared to freshers week last year there was nothing for the social aspect of the week. All of the events were restricted due to corona restrictions so wasn't the best could of definitely been improved. I was in accommodation last year at university and I loved it. The location of the my accommodation was perfect, in the city centre with a 5 minute walk to my university buildings and libraries. The staff that worked in the accommodation were lovely and so helpful, I felt extremely safe and would recommend it to anybody. Lastly, the actual building and layout was perfect I was in a flat of 9 people and loved every second of my time in accommodation. The facilities were brilliant my lecture theatres are modern and clean, making it easy to concentrate. The facilities were my seminars and tutorials were smaller and more fitted for the smaller groups. The student union wasn't a typical student union however they offered the needed services. I really enjoy my course, I find my lecturers very interesting they get all students involved helping us understand the content. I also believe the course content was well scheduled I never felt overwhelmed and with the help of tutors I've always managed to tackle all of my work. I also think that my course is good as it covers so many basics of business, I feel when I complete the course I'll have a excellent basis to help me enter almost any career path I wish. Liverpool has a brilliant city life, as it's quite a compact city everything is easily accessible and with everything you'd need being no more than 20 minute walk away. With so many shops, museums etc there's so many things to do in the day. The nightlife in Liverpool is the best! With a range of pubs, clubs and raves there's something for everyone.

My freshers week in liverpool was amazing. I met so many new people and as it was last year we were able to go out and have fun! I am so glad I didn't take a gap year and this would be my first year. It would not be ideal having to meet new people over zoom calls. My accommodation is located in the city centre and it is so close to many shops and restaurants. It is nice to also have a walk down to the docks and not have to get public transport. The opportunities are endless. The facilities at my university are amazing. Such good support from everyone even during a pandemic. I am so glad I chose John moores university. My course has so many opportunities for the students. The lectures when we were in the rooms were good as we had breaks and were not cramped together. Although sometimes it would get too hot/too cold. Liverpool is an amazing city. I am so glad I came here. It is not too far away from my home in north wales either - which is another reason why I chose it. There are so many students in the city that are in the same situation as you. You're never alone.

Freshers week was a very fun and crazy week. You make loads of new mates and memories. My accommodation in first year was in a very practical location and was clean. I'm currently living in a house with all my uni mates which is a load of fun. There is 2 main library's for LJMU students on either side of the city centre. Wherever you're staying it will be within walking distance. Course is very well structured and organised. Lectures are clear and nice. Liverpool in my opinion is the best city to live in. The People and the nightlife is second to none. Guaranteed to have the best time.

Amazing. I have made so many friends and learnt so much new information already! The course is even better than I thought! We have study skill lessons and these lectures have taught me so much information that is relevant to me for my whole journey through uni. My lecturers also show a human and compassionate side, they are like parents away from home, not just teachers.

Good, balance between uni introduction and social. Not too much work and was welcomed amazingly. Europa - really big rooms, en-suite, staff are kind and helpful. Good location to uni and town. All good location, opening times etc. Lecturers are good at explaining things and lectures are interesting. Seminars help to clarify questions and iron out issues. Busy! A lot going on, never dull. A lot of history and Culture. It’s a lot of reading

Thus far, my University experience has been the absolute best- with the exception of being lost the first week. LJMU is very prideful in their abilities and their quality and standard prove to be exceptational yearly. The staff of Natural Sciences and Psychology are very heplful and informative. My lectures truly make learning engaing and creative. The Student Union has a wide variety of clubs to join and I am very proud to be a LJMU student and I wouldn't trade my uni for any other. Each day my love for my uni continues to grow.

Very fun, met loads of new people, insightful about the university and learn loads about what my uni has to offer. Including my course and clubs/extra curricular activities. I stayed in a new accommodation so it was clean and modern. I stayed in a flat of 8 and there was enough space but could have done with more in the kitchen. Nevertheless, the staff were always kind and helpful. The libraries are massive at our uni with lots of things to offer such as laptops to loan and lots of books in my subject area. Uni classrooms are always big, bright and airy and I loved my uni building. Especially the Starbucks! The course is very informative but also I like that we are able to do physical activities such as holding our own press conference and group projects. This has meant I've met a lot of my course mates and retained more information than just studying from a book. I love Liverpool city. There are so many shops, bars and things to see and do. I've loved exploring more of the culture here. And everywhere is very cheap for a student.
