As an MA Sound Design student, you will create sound for environments that are immersive, interactive and responsive. <br/><br/>Taught by a team of specialist researchers and practitioners, the course adopts an interdisciplinary approach for exploring the relationship between sound and narrative within a range of professional contexts. Mixing the artistic and the technical, you will learn to capture, manipulate and craft soundscapes for film, TV, radio, games, virtual reality and sound installations. You will also learn the essential tools to interrogate your practice through research and analysis.<br/><br/>The School of Digital Arts (SODA) is home to a dynamic community that spans skills and approaches, creating a space for collaboration and experimentation whilst encouraging you to network with other budding creatives.<br/><br/>By developing your own artistic identity in a wide range of areas, this course will allow you to become a self-sufficient creative, able to meet the demands of a competitive and international creative industry. <br/><br/><strong>Features and Benefits</strong><br/>• The course offers a close collaborative environment in which viewpoints and contemporary working practices are easily shared across a range of creative disciplines. <br/><br/><br/><br/>• The course features a holistic approach to soundtrack creation, in which the sound designer explores all aspects of the sound environment from Foley and SFX to music and dialogue. You will explore sound in multiple professional contexts including film, TV, radio, games, VR/AR, and sound installations.<br/><br/><br/><br/>• The flexibility within the curriculum will allow you to focus upon and develop your key interests and creative aspirations, and build a portfolio of practice that will establish your identity as an emerging practitioner. <br/><br/>
