What will you learn?
You will study various social work theories and acquire skills to apply them across different contexts. The curriculum encompasses psychosocial perspectives, sociology, psychology, and human development, emphasizing relationship-based and systemic theories. Gain an in-depth understanding of legislation and its practical application. The course maps against the Professional Capabilities Framework (PCF) Standards of Proficiency (SoPs) and the Knowledge and Skills Statements (KSS) for both children and adults. Extensive skills training, including communication and conflict management, prepares you for direct practice, enhanced through two placements. In the final year, apply research skills and knowledge in a dissertation.
