Medicine, Year 3

(4.5)·By Shweta K·Medicine· Jul 2021
Good. It was very welcoming and the teachers were good explainers Good quality accommodation. I definitely immediately felt comfortable upon arrival! Library is the main facility I use although the college is well equiped Very good and detailed course with lots of attention to detail required which is what one looks for in medicine. Good not that busy in Northampton though!

Fine Art, Year 1

(4.5)·By Charlie P·Fine Art· Mar 2019
Freshers week was really enjoyable and a great way to bond with people on your course. Really good, great phicilities. The facilities are incredible, they have a professional dark room and studios. The lecturers don’t go to fast through the material and make it really easy to take notes. City life is okay, there’s enough to do around town centre and other areas of the town. For shopping it’s okay as there’s some decent clothes shops but for proper clothes shops you’re better off ordering online of getting direct trains to London or Birmingham. Be ready to do a lot of artist research and photo shoots almost weekly

Social Policy, Year 2

(4.3)·By Natashia S·Social Policy· Oct 2018
During my time at university, I have experienced the uni life just how you should. Enjoying Year 1, and then going to Year 2 realising how passionate my teachers are about me passing and making us achieve our goals.

Law, Year 2

Nights out are rare but they mostly consist of going out for dinner or to student union. They have comedy and karaoke nights which are good fun. The university staff are very friendly and helpful they push you to do the best you can and are very supportive. I love that all the sports and societies are free I am part of the climbing society . I live off campus in a studio flat which is perfect for studying.

Business and management studies, Third Year

(3.8)·By Joshua N·Management· Oct 2018
People are very kind! Tutors are helpful and very good at making you at ease when you first start at the institution. Great facilties and prices at the cafe were good as well and very tasty! Car park is a bit bad in the fact I spent 25 mins circling it trying to find a space.

Marketing, Year 3

Sports and societies are completely free so that's a massive bonus, try everything while you can!
Lecturers are lovely - some have a lot of passion for their subject.
Night life is okay, not many places to go but if you go with the right people you're guaranteed to have a great time

Media Studies, Year 2

(3.8)·By Monika A·Media Studies· Jul 2021
It was extremely welcoming. There weren't too many people and everyone, classmates and teachers were accepting and nice, always came to your help. The atmosphere in the college is comforting and safe too especially during COVID. There are no official accommodations around the college, however a lot of housing around the area as well as a shopping centre where groups of people can accommodate together. Classrooms and the library are very clean and organised, sport areas are all clean and monitored too for safety. The course was taught very well and in a good pace, i was able to catch up with all the work as well as having a job outside of college. The town of Northampton is fairly busy and has a decent amount of things to do and very nice restaurants in either town centre, Sixfields or Riverside

Education / Teacher Training, Graduate

(3.5)·By Lucy H·Education / Teacher Training· Jul 2021
I did not participate in freshers. Therefore I did not feel comfortable, however many of my friends thoroughly enjoyed it xx I live at home and therefore do not know. Some of my friends lived in hauls and they were very clean. They are brand new classrooms as it is a new campus. The library is amazing and the people who work in there are lovely. My lecturers are very supportive and always respond to emails. They have continued to make it easier for us online also. I do not live in a city so I cannot answer the question

Psychology, Third Year

Difficult to make new friends, especially when you do not meet the people you're living with until you move in.

University has good on-campus facilities like a student shop, bank, restaurant and student union.
