But it’s not all abstract: our modules are very much about the real world, using mathematics to extract information from data and draw conclusions.<br/>In your first year you’ll build a solid grounding in pure, discrete, decision and modern applied mathematics, probability and statistics. In subsequent years you’ll choose from modules across all mathematical disciplines, taught by active researchers. You’ll have the freedom to take new directions on your mathematical journey, studying topics in depth as your interests develop.<br/>You can also align your studies to your career goals, choosing modules on programming, teaching or actuarial and financial mathematics.
