Incredible. Very inclusive and great for introductions and not making you feel homesick. Very fun Incredible and modern, underfloor heating via renewable energy, cleaned by cleaning staff every week. Light and airy Up to date, easy to navigate and warm Excellently established and set up in a what, how, why system that is great for knowledge and understanding Lovely people and surroundings, always soemthing to do very student friendly

Agriculture, Year 3

(4.8)·By Essie C·Agriculture· Jul 2021
My freshers week was great fun. The university events made it easy to meet new people. I also think that the students working with the university were extremely helpful in aiding us to settle in. I had great accommodation. We had lovely cleaners who came twice a week. I had an ensuite which was amazing. I can't complain about anything. The student union could be improved as it's fairly dated. Other facilities were good especially the free university gym on campus. All of my lecturers are very helpful. The lectures are close together and we have small classes of people competed to other universities which helps us learn. The university is known for its social life. There aren't many places to go out but I like that as it means you everybody you know are likely to be in one venue.

Business Studies / Management, Year 3

Amazing! The programme of events was amazing for getting to know other students. It suits the University's theme, traditional, classic and cosy. However, some bathroom are in need of modernisation. The gym had everything you could need except for a swimming pool but there is a public one not far away. Classrooms and the library is good. The support you get from it being a small University is amazing. You really get to know your Lectures. Small, so you get to know everyone at the University very well. Not many options for bats and night clubs. Just one night club and pubs

Archaeology, Year 2

(4.5)·By Isobel C·Archaeology· Jul 2021
Freshers week was good fun, I met lots of different people who have become good friends. There were plenty of events planned for us. Accommodation is very good! The rooms are good size and the facility are very good. The only thing I would criticise is the space of the kitchens. When there are 10-12 people in one hall it gets very crowded in the kitchen. Facilities are very good on campus. Plenty of sports to participate in, classrooms and lecture rooms are good size but lack decent technology. The library is good but again lacks a lot of resources for archaeology and heritage. The course itself is very good, it is very broad so plenty to learn. The RAU is not in a city but rather a large town that has plenty of facilities.

Business Studies / Management, Year 2

(4.5)·By Talis H·Business· Jul 2021
Ice breaker sessions were brilliant at getting us talking to eachother. Staff got us engaged and having fun Good sized and regularly cleaned rooms. Shared bathrooms were new but the lack of a common room space made it harder to socialise with my Block Library is well equipped, range of different sports pitches and clubs, class rooms could use updating but suitable and the cafe is brilliant Engaging talks led by people in the top of their field. They made every topic relevant and engaging Cirencester is a small but beautiful town which is an I spiting place to study but also has very good pubs

Building / Construction, Year 3

(4)·By tom w·Building / Construction· Jul 2021
freshers was very fun and i was put into a diverse range of activities which helped me bond with new people, try new experiences and ease into university lifestyle the accommodation is good however a little dated. The proximity to facilities like the dining room and lecture halls was very close. However the was no communal kitchen available to the students in my hall the library was very resourceful for my course and the classrooms were good location from my accommodation. The sports facilities were a little dated and minimal in what was on offer. For instance the gym was very small and not big enough to fit more than 15 people comfortable the course has set me up with a great range of insight for all aspects of property. The lectures were good because the lectures engaged well with students and had desire for us to do well the town of Cirencester was beautiful and very peaceful. Apart from pubs, the nightlife was non-existent meaning we had to make our own fun for a social

Business Studies / Management, Graduate

(3.8)·By Phoebe M·Business· Jul 2021
It was a pretty rubbish freshers week, There was no organisation or help. During the year the fresher experience got better as the older years wanted to bring in more events and parties. I didn't have any, I lived at home in the first year. That meant I didn't make many friends at the start because of the lack of organisation in freshers week. The library was well equipped and stocked. We had an indoor sports hall as well as many outdoor sports pitches, rugby, football, lacrosse & hockey pitches. But no access to swimming pools or recreational sports for people not in teams. The student union was undefined in the first year. My course was interesting, we went on a freshers trip which was included with the course cost. The lectures were nice but difficult to contact when not in lectures It was near a town called Cirencester. There was one club and many bars. However, the club was overpriced and the locals didn't like us in their pubs. So we only ventured there for the shops.
