Nursing, Year 2

(5)·By Clotilda R·Nursing· Jul 2021
Excellent, we were shown everything. Got the chance to meet the student union team It is affordable and appropriate for students. Very close to the Staffordshire (health) campus. They were very convenient for us students who want to get things done with some help from the library. The times as well good for everyone. My course is something that I enjoy from the beginning because it's something I'm really interested in. The lecturers are really helpful and I can't complain much. I always get the support I need which made the lectures good. Sociable. Meet a diversity of people around. Helping each other with assignment.

Great staff support!

(5)·By Victoria B·Other· Oct 2018
The support the staff and other students have given me throughout my time at university have been amazing and I would not be in the position I am now going into my third year. The student ambassadors are fantastic and are always there to help out if you are having any problems, they are really good and giving advise supporting you throughout your life at uni. Not many university's offer the course I am studying, in fact only 2 more uni's offer this course. Staffs was always going to be my first choice uni because of it being NCTJ accredited which is important and what employers are looking for in graduate students. The university halls are really nice, I stayed in and en-suit room in my first year. I recommend staying in halls in your first year as it is a great way to meet new people and interact with other students. Staffs uni is located in stoke which is a really nice area, there is a massive part just up the road form uni where a lot of students hang out, especially when the sun is shining and everyone is having a good time, there are plenty of shopping centres and places to go food shopping. The facilities at staffs is open 24 hours which is amazing! it has a large rang of journals, magazines and periodicals for you to do research and get your uni work done on time. The sports facilities are fantastic with top of the range tennis and basketball courts. The university's SU bar is called the Ember lounge and has a lot of events on including comedy nights where acts such as Bill bailey have performed. The Ember bar has also held acts such as The Prodigy and Wheatus!!! The clubs and socs and staffs uni are really good and have some amazing teams, in my first year I was a member of the Animation Bites society where people get together to watch films and play console games. Not only can you join an existing society, if you get enough passionate people together you can create your own society and gain funding from the university and go on trips and host your own events!

Psychology, Year 2

(5)·By Ella B·Psychology· Oct 2018
Teachers are helpful & Uni has a welcoming atmosphere. There are bars & shops for students to work on campus. There's chances to study abroad to gain experience. There's a team who deal with issues such as finaces & mental health. On Uni campus security are always walking around and are a call away if needed. Coalport is handy for problems, like housemates & maintenance. Uni only 10 minutes from Hanley, where there's a range of clubs. The campus bars hold events such as karaoke night. Student Union set up socials like games competitions, theme park society and more. I've met some amazing people and I'm extremely happy with my choice of Uni!

Music, Graduate

(5)·By Ruth H·Music· Oct 2018
Now on my 4th year here, studying my Msc in Music Technology. Absolutely love the University! Great lecturers and amazing on-site facilities, brilliant people to work with, and great campus placement for socialising (if that's what you're into). Everyone is always so helpful and there's always someone to talk to when you need to. Although initially I was looking at Universities closer to home, the moment I came to an open day I knew where I had to be! So glad I came to Staffordshire University, I wouldn't change a thing!

History, Third Year

(5)·By Bethany P·History· Oct 2018
My university experience has been and continues to be amazing. Although I stayed at home to study I wouldn't have changed a thing. The staff on my course have always gone above & beyond for me and made sure that I have followed & most importantly thoroughly enjoy my time here. As well as the facilities at the university such as the bars & restaraunts as well as the library, the campus is so welcoming and the staff all over the university are amazing. I am hoping to graduate in the July of next year & I will be extremely sad to leave.

Psychology / Criminology, Year 3

Got to see all of the University & met majority of people that I would be on the course with. There was plenty of events to go to and it was very welcoming. I don't live in accommodation but I've seen it and it's pretty nice Perfect, all of the staff are helpful and it's easy to access the areas that I need to The course is brilliant. It's exactly what I came to university for. The lectures aren't too long & the lecturers always try to grab our attention Busy city life, lots of students and a intu close by for food and drinks

Great Uni and had an amazing time.

(4.8)·By Luke W·Other· Oct 2018
My time at Staffordshire was good after my second time going to university I wanted to choose the right course and could not make any mistakes this time around. I went to their open day and everyone was very friendly and answered the questions I had. The best bit was the open day was a personal one to one visit as I could not make their official open day. This support helped make my choice. After speaking to the lecturers about my course and what I would be doing sounded exactly what I wanted. Halls was great and met some good people which I moved out into private accommodation. Stafford Campus was a bit male dominated being a lot of computer courses but they slowly changed the ratio of the sexes to better balance it. Stafford Campus is being closed as of 2016 so everything will be more central and located in Stoke on Trent which should benefit new starters. Would recommend this university had a great time, met some amazing people and went back to my Masters.

Forensic Science, Graduate

(4.8)·By Maisie T·Forensic Science· Jul 2021
Was well organised, was able to get involved with university and course life! Felt welcoming and was good to meet people and lectures. Felt settled very quickly! Enjoyed living with a large amount of people, as it allowed me to meet people off the course. Reslife were useful in introducing us to uni living. Staffs uni offers a good variety of on campus and off campus living to cater to different wishes. Was very handily having the uni open 24 hours, although printing became a bit expensive. Student union had a good variety of events throughout the year. There is a good variety of shops and food places on campus. The forensic science course was very practical and hands on, which was good preparation for the future. Independent project in third year allowed us to explore areas we were interested in. The laboratories have very high spec, expensive analytical equipment Convenient to have essential shops very near living areas. The town centre is close meaning taxis are cheap and convenient. Good variety of supermarkets close by for big shops

My lecturers made my course

(4.8)·By mark r·Classics· Oct 2018
I honestly don't think I'd have finished my course without my lecturers. They gave me such good support throughout and spent a lot of time on personal tutoring and guidance. I was particularly impressed by how quickly they got to know us and everything about us! The equipment and facilities were brilliant, especially the crime scene and laboratory facilities we had.

Medicine, Year 2

(4.8)·By Hannah O·Medicine· Jul 2021
It was eventful! I met lots of new friends! I had a really good time, despite my uni being quite small! The accommodation was okay! Decent sized rooms and appropriately selected flat mates I'm on the Healthcare campus training to be a paramedic and all of the simulation labs are fab! The lectures are good! Very helpful and informative! The city of stafford is small! However, you've got to make the most of what you have! It's all about the people you're with, I really enjoy it!
