MSc Development Economics and Policy provides rigorous training in contemporary economic theory, quantitative methods and policy analysis for developing and transitional economies. The course explores how economic ideas, evidence and institutions shape development outcomes, equipping you with the tools to assess some of the world's most pressing social and economic challenges.
Delivered jointly by the Global Development Institute and the Department of Economics, the programme combines expertise in economics, development policy and applied research. You will develop a strong understanding of both macroeconomic and microeconomic approaches to development, while examining how economic theory can inform real-world policy decisions.
