University life

My university experience has been great so far, I have enjoyed interacting with new people I have met and befriended. Mostly my teachers they have helped me a lot during this period off time. The facilities that they have provided has also helped a lot and made everything easier to understand.

Education / Teacher Training, Year 3

(5)·By Georgia P·Education / Teacher Training· Jul 2021
Freshers week was an amazing opportunity to meet new people and to explore Bedford. The university were really good at informing us about the different events and the freshers fair was really welcoming! The accommodation at Bedford university is amazing with all the facilities a student would need. The rooms are hygienic and clean, and there's student reps around to help. The library is amazing with plenty of books, journals and computers. There are lots of classrooms that can be hired out for group work and the sports hall has a variety of different sports equipment. The course provides you with amazing opportunities and placements that help you to develop the necessary skills. The lectures are also extremely informative and helps to you understand the connection between theory and practice. Bedford town has a variety of shops, bars, clubs and pubs which is perfect for students. I love the atmosphere in the town as there's a buzz and us students enjoy this

Uni

(4.8)·By Temi M·Accounting· Jun 2023
Try and find the accommodation that is the most convenient for you. Don't try and please anyone and make sure that everything you do at uni for anyone else's sake. My course isn't too hard because all you have to do is a reading and practicing in order to understand the things being taught. Your social life will depend on your course but always make time for yourself and give a break every once in a while

Freshers week was really fun and was a great chance to meet new people and people on the same course as you. I don't use the accommodation but I've heard really good things about it They are all really good and easily accessible and the student union is really supportive and helpful The course is really assessable and really keeps you engaged. The lectures are really helpful and supportive and are always there to help you Really fun, lots of places to go and ways to meet new people

Media Studies, Graduate

(4.5)·By Dina G·Media Studies· Jul 2021
Fun and had a plethora of activities and opportunities to mingle with students from other courses, we were given a Calendar and map which pinpointed different events and where they would be throughout the week. The accommodation was situated right next to the main campus building and also had shops located right on the same road. There was washing facilities and utilities and WiFi were both included in the rent. The library was newly furnished after my first year, it was upgraded and it looked amazing, there was even computers accessible for media students to edit. My course was very diverse and inclusive. It offered more than just media, it also offered performance art, performance management, presenting, radio, teleshopping, directing, acting, theatre studies and script writing The city life was good, only 30 mins to London by train with 24hours coach service to London which was £5 for students. There was always something fun happening every week, and there's a large shopping mall in the centre.

I liked everything about Luton

(4.5)·By ursula s·Chemical / Process / Energy· Oct 2018
I think this is a brilliant university! Luton is in a really good central location and so much cheaper than London. The fees aren't too expensive and the staff are really friendly. I thought the lecturers were good too.

Nursing, Graduate

(4.5)·By Caitlin W·Nursing· Jul 2021
It was fun, interesting it showed me what university would be like. I felt like I belonged somewhere and it gave me a insight to what to expect for the year It was good, it was cosy, easy to navigate around. People made you feel included in things. It quite literally became a second family Facilities were great easily accessible, easy to find my way around. And if I ever did get lost people were all friendly and helpful It was a great course because it really prepared me to the actually job. I need real people in the field of nursing to teach me how to be a nurse and that is what I got. The lectures where great all related to practical things that I do in everyday practice It was great, could easily go out to Bedford for the day, train is easy to catch into London or Luton. Where the university is located it is easy to be able to go out and get dinner or lunch after a day at uni
