One of the only specialist degrees of its kind, this course trains you in the traditions of printmaking and in contemporary image making processes, such as drawing, collage, photography, artists’ books, letterpress and digital image making.<br/><br/>We encourage creative exploration in a variety of visual forms, underpinned by intellectual inquiry, which leads to exciting, innovative practice.<br/><br/>You’ll be working in one of the UK’s best-equipped printmaking workshops, with facilities for etching, screen print, lithography, relief and large format digital print, letter press and bookbinding as well traditional wet based photography.<br/><br/>Our links with local arts communities provide opportunities for creative engagement in schools, galleries and studios. Visits to exhibitions and guest lectures from artists and those working in the creative industries will improve your understanding of professional practice.<br/><br/>You’ll have opportunities to exhibit your work and we have international links with the University of Nagoya, Japan, which runs an exchange programme available by competitive application. <br/><br/>Fine Art Printmaking is part of a suite of Fine Art courses at Brighton alongside Fine Art and Fine Art Painting.
