<strong>A Brighton Paramedic Science degree will prepare you for a rewarding career where you’ll work in a fast-paced environment to assess patients’ conditions and make potentially lifesaving decisions about treatment and hospital transfer.</strong><br/><br/>This course is approved by the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and endorsed by the College of Paramedics, ensuring it covers all core areas and competencies. Successful completion of the degree means you will be eligible to apply for HCPC registration and practice as a paramedic. <br/><br/>At Brighton, you’ll be part of a community that helps you grow, no matter what your background. Throughout the course you’ll develop the skills and knowledge to qualify, with around 50% of the course spent on placement. Most placements are with South East Coast Ambulance Service NHS Foundation, but other opportunities include working in areas such as mental health, paediatrics and primary care to ensure you gain a wide range of experience. <br/><br/>You will also practise in our specialist facilities to build your confidence and knowledge through real-life scenarios. Our inclusive approach to learning will help you go further; we’ll make sure you play to your strengths and learn in ways that suit you best. <br/><br/>Brighton’s paramedic graduates have successful careers working with patients, families and communities in primary care, acute care and critical care settings.
