This pathway combines what you learn in the International Business course with the skills and concepts of Political Marketing and Management.<br/><br/>The course covers how to use marketing and management in campaigns for political parties, governments, and parliaments.<br/><br/>Alongside International Business, youll learn about:<br/><br/><br/>- Political marketing research, strategy and branding<br/><br/><br/>- Human resource management in political workplaces<br/><br/><br/>- Political communication and campaigning<br/><br/><br/>This course helps you understand the challenges of marketing and management in politics and consider implications for society and democracy.<br/><br/>You will learn from both the International Business course and the specialist modules of Political Management.<br/><br/>This course positions you to pursue careers in areas like:<br/><br/><br/>- political organisations and political parties<br/><br/><br/>- campaign teams<br/><br/><br/>- parliaments<br/><br/><br/>- local government departments<br/><br/><br/>- political offices<br/><br/><br/>- external contractors in market research<br/><br/><br/>- communication consultancies who carry out work for political organisations<br/><br/><br/>- business government relations<br/><br/><br/>You will take two core modules to learn concepts and applications of management and marketing in political settings.<br/><br/>You can then choose to add two more options from business and politics on topics such as:<br/><br/><br/>- place and nation branding<br/><br/><br/>- brand management<br/><br/><br/>- green politics<br/><br/><br/>- public policy<br/><br/><br/>You will then do four international business modules. These topics will include strategy and managing multinational enterprises. These extend your awareness and knowledge of business concepts that apply to politics and government.<br/><br/>Finally, you will complete a Masters summer project in applied political marketing and management.<br/><br/>This unique UK pathway offers a chance to learn from global experts in Political Management and Marketing. Through the year, students can engage in informal and organises discussions about elections and key developments in governments, engage with political professionals and visit the Scottish and UK Parliaments.
