This is a requirement to register as a sport and exercise nutritionist on the Sport and Exercise Nutrition Register (SENr), held by the British Dietetic Association. <br/><br/>You’ll have the opportunity to gain an in-depth understanding of how nutrition relates to exercise and health, and sports performance, with modules relating to anatomy and physiology, digestion and metabolism, nutrition assessment methods, and nutrition of exercise and health. <br/><br/>**Why Study Sport and Exercise Nutrition MSci at University of Huddersfield?** <br/>Our lecturers’ research actively helps to shape real-world practice, meaning you’ll gain the very latest industry knowledge. <br/><br/>On campus, you’ll benefit from specialist facilities, including our fully equipped sport and exercise science labs, as well as our sports hall and fitness suite. <br/><br/>In your second year, you’ll secure a work placement. In the third year, you’ll have the opportunity to study a specific aspect of nutrition in depth in the dissertation project and, in your fourth year, youll study Sport and Exercise Nutrition at a Postgraduate level, providing you with a competitive edge when applying for jobs. <br/><br/>You’ll develop skills to potentially go on to work as a sports nutritionist, physical activity coordinator, health advisor, sports development officer, personal trainer, and exercise referral specialist. <br/><br/>**Professional Bodies** <br/>This course is approved by the Sport and Exercise Nutrition Register (SENr), meaning that successful completion of this degree acts as a first step towards Graduate Registration with the SENr (a nationally recognised quality mark for your work in sports and exercise nutrition). Please note that in order to become eligible for graduate registration, you would need to progress to the fourth-year postgraduate study and obtain a postgraduate diploma. <br/><br/>This course is endorsed by the Chartered Institute for the Management of Sport and Physical Activity (CIMSPA) too.
