You also benefit from our expert careers advice to give you the best possible start with a strong focus on your future career and how to get you there. <br/><br/>This programme is fully accredited by the Royal Society of Chemistry (RSC). <br/><br/>You have the option to take the new Chemistry (Forensic Science) pathway from stage 2, where youll learn practical skills needed to tackle the challenges of the 21st century - from drug design and analysis to understanding the science that underpins and supports crime scene investigation. To study Chemistry (Forensic Science) BSc you first apply to this Chemistry BSc. You can opt to complete a professional placement to put into practice the skills you have learnt and make valuable industry contacts or study abroad for a year. <br/><br/>**What youll study**<br/>In the first year you’ll develop a broad base on which chemistry is founded before further developing your knowledge of organic, inorganic and physical chemistry and your practical laboratory skills in year two. In your final year, alongside advanced modules in organic, inorganic, analytical and physical chemistry, you complete an individual research project with one of our research groups.
