Excellent for legal and business studies

I’ve found that studying my degree at Ulaw has given me a much more comprehensive foundation of knowledge around the topics I don’t often encounter in my work role, including financial decision-making, law and strategy. This knowledge will enable me to progress to more strategic roles in the future.

Law / Legal Studies, Year 2

It was amazing, very welcoming, made a lot of new friends, the whole atmosphere just made you eager to learn more about the law. I am not living in accommodation but I know a few that are. They are satisfied with their accommodations and many that are close to campus. This means no money on transport as it is a walk away. The classrooms are great, it's perfect for working within groups and as it's not massive but rather small. The library is great, many books and computers to use. It also has a quiet study place next to the library. There are exactly 11 lectures and 11 workshops each year, extremely consistent so you know exactly what will be happening each year. The university being small allows more one-to-one time with students and tutors. City life is amazing, especially in the winter when it is Christmas time. The German Christmas Market is definitely a sight for sore eyes, unbelievable beautiful and as it's in the centre you have many shops so perfect for any shopaholics out there.

Law / Legal Studies, Year 2

I didn't engage in many freshers week activities due to my own choice. I live at home. I have been to a friends and it is nice - however nothing to do with the uni. I love our uni and it's layout. The classrooms have a really modern feel to them and we have various breakout rooms to work in which is positive as I like to study in different places. Because the Uni is so small, the lectures and workshops are very personal - I can ask a question without feeling uncomfortable about it. I have always lived in Leeds so not much has changed for me besides the commute. I drive into town and park - I would rather this than get the bus in these crazy times. I do like city life.

Freshers week was very well organised and lots to do. Tutors very informative about what choices there are. Very clean. Very convenient location. All facilities very cleans and tidy. Library services excellent. Very interactive which allowed the very practical nature of the court be even more beneficial. Tutors very engaging. Bristol is a great city with plenty to do/see. Not too hectic.

Law, Year 1

The University of Law in Leeds, is the best university I looked around when choosing where to go, now I am here I have learnt that it is a very small University which works to my advantage as you are on a more personal level with lecturers and tutors. Even doing a law degree there is time for a social life and Leeds has the best nightlife I've ever been to.

Really good! Given the circumstances we still obtained all of the information we needed. Also online events were held I live at home The library is really good! With a wide range of books, we have social areas to, so that we can do our prep work The teachers made the course'! They were so helpful and approachable which made it so much easier to work. The course is so easy to follow too :) Guildford is beautiful, it's so historical! With loads of brilliant shops and places to eat. Also, there's loads of walks

great uni in the heart of London

(5)·By vashiny j·Law· Jun 2023
I completed a 2 year Accelerated Law degree. i didn't live on campus as the London Bloomsbury campus doesn't have that option and therefore commuted from home.

i completed my first year online due to the pandemic. however , my second year was in person. the Uni always ensured our safety and i always noticed preventative measures being applied throughout the building.

my tutors were all very friendly, seemed very expert in their field. they were very approachable and were always open to drop in for any questions or concerns. we were always guided in terms of other oppurtunities from our Year Head throughout the academic year.

overall had a pleasant experience and would recommend.

Freshers week was really good, organised, informative, a good ice-breaker for all students to get to know each other. A nice warm environment to be in. I didn't use accommodation. Library and the facilities were exceptional. Very warm and welcoming atmosphere. The course was easy to get your head around and lectures were always delivered to a high quality. I absolutely loved city life! Especially at Christmas time when the light would be put up, it makes the atmosphere welcoming and so much more enjoyable.

Law / Legal Studies, Year 2

It was amazing as we got to go around the campus and speak to various different people to gather information about what there is to expect from studying law and then eventually working in a legal environment. We also got a bunch of goodies to which we eventually topped it off with a boat party which was an absolute blast. Made a lot of lifetime friends that day! The professors in the uni all have elite legal experience therefore we are always given amazing lessons and tips in our classes. Our lecturers are always adamant on making sure we are doing well whether if we that is through detailed marking of our mocks or casual emails over the weekend with study notes attached to it. The classrooms are spacious. We have 4 libraries so there is never a problem about not finding the right spot to study. In terms of sports area as we are a uni in the heart of London, we are surrounded by gyms and leisure centres therefore it is very convenient for us to access those facilities. Other than detailed live virtual lessons, we also have everything recorded too so it is easy for us to review those recordings if we missed out on anything. This is very helpful for during exam season as all the knowledge is easily accessible to us City life was amazing. Being in central London meant that prior to COVID, there were endless motives to attend. You can never complain when you can have Nandos for lunch straight after a 2 hour lecture

ULAW online campus

(4.5)·By Abi M·Law· Jun 2023
I study Law online and I was very apprehensive before starting the course as online learning is still quite a new concept. The University has a brilliant online programme, it did take a bit of getting used to in terms of navigating the pages. However, it clearly sets out each unit of each module, with a balance of online lectures, reading from the online law library and engaging tasks. The teachers are lawyers themselves, many with lots of experience in practices and are always at hand to answer any questions and provide good feedback when marking submitted work. There are student support services and an IT team available to handle any issues. I've noticed these services can get busy during exam periods but they will get back to you. The online campus still provides many opportunities such as drop in sessions, clubs, study skill services, talks, career fairs and much more, all of which can be done online. You have a personal academic coach that understands your individual commitments outside of University life. I would highly reccomend ULAW.
