Westminster - the place to be!

(5)·By T P·English Studies· Jul 2024
The University of Westminster is a fantastic place to study. The campuses are mostly based in central London so students have the city on their doorstep. The University offers a variety of different courses and modules ranging from Criminology to Law to English, History, BioMed and many more. The school also has many societies which are free and organise events to encourage students from all campuses to meet each other and have a social life both on and outside of campus. The teachers and staff are friendly and present for students and whatever they may need. They encourage students to think about their careers from the start and give them the right tools to find out more about their future. All in all, it's a great place to be!

The Law School is brilliant

(5)·By Robert D·Other· Oct 2018
I did the 4 year degree (LLB Law Solicitors Exempting degree) which combines two qualifications - LLB and LPC. I am very pleased with the course structure and the teaching. All of my lecturers were academics as well as practitioners and thus they were able to explain the law by using examples from their professional practice! I had a chance to do work experience at the Law Pro Bono clinic at the University which was an invaluable experience to my CV! (I got a job before I even graduated!)

English Studies, Year 2

(5)·By Anya K·English Studies· Jul 2021
Freshers week was wonderful, the university mentors and staff all made sure to ensure all new students that they were welcomed with open arms! I don't say in accommodation The facilities are excellent, I feel like I have endless resources at my fingertips to ensure my work is done to the highest standard. The amount of information and help resources are the best part, because it helps me in feeling confident in completing the work I'm provided with. Also, the staff are excellent in ensuring we feel completely supported. I'm used to city life as I've lived in London my whole life.

Certain way to success

(5)·By Oksana P·Other· Oct 2018
I am currently a postgraduate student at the University of Westminster. I am taking International Commercial Law LLM.
This university won my favour because of the content of the course I chose. There are many relevant modules, in addition you may take a module from other lelated courses. For me as aspiring to work in a commercial field the subjects are priceless. I get an in-depth knowledge and analysis from teachers who are both renowned academicians and practitioners.
The University of Westminster will definitely boost my chances for a prestigious and interesting employment.

Pharmacology / Pharmacy, Graduate

(5)·By Zainab A·Pharmacology / Pharmacy· Jul 2021
There was always something to do. Staff was very responsive on any outstanding questions/inquiries on the courses. Did not live in accommodation Westminster had very good facilities in terms of space. There is a big library on every campus. They had a good variety of big lecture halls and classroom tutorial rooms. Very clean aswell. The course was very interesting for me which my lecturer made. They were not boring and were interactive too. Westminster university is placed in the heart of London. This was perfect for when I need to pop into shops or get a nice meal. It was always lively and there was always something to do.

MA Specialised Translation

(5)·By Catherine F·Languages· Jun 2024
This course is really beneficial if you want to get a job in translation. It offers a mixture of theory and practical lessons, and you are able to use professional software that translators use. I have learned so much already, and I have only been there for 3 months.

Media, Year 1

(5)·By Esra A·Languages· Oct 2018
I havent had many nights out this year, but this is due to personal preference rather than a lack of activities. In terms of my teachers, they all exude professionalism and are openly passionate about the course they teach, which is communicated by how knowledgeable they are about the topics. They provide engaging material that makes completing coursework much easier, and they provide so much support and feedback for all the students.

There are many different societies available at The University Of Westminster, but not enough students to run it. I signed up for the Harry Potter Society, but was sent an email saying that the first meeting had been cancelled and that I would be emailed with a time and venue for another meeting, but I did not receive an email and the society did not run. The local area is beautiful, but the nearest shopping mall is like a 15-20 minute bus ride away.
