In particular, the course aims to:<br/>• Deliver Specialist Engineering units which are made up of 75% theory and 25% practical <br/>session in workshops/labs<br/>• Develop a range of skills and techniques, personal qualities and attributes essential for <br/>successful performance in working life and thereby enable learners to make an immediate <br/>contribution to employment at the appropriate professional level<br/>• Prepare for a range of technical and management careers in Automation and Control<br/>Engineering<br/>• Equip individuals with the knowledge, understanding and skills for success in employment in <br/>the Automation and Control Engineering-based industry<br/>• Provide specialist studies relevant to individual vocations and professions in which learners <br/>are working or intend to seek employment in Automation and Control Engineering and its <br/>related industries<br/>• Enable progression onto (or count towards) an HND (Higher National Diploma) or further <br/>professional qualification in Electronic and Electrical Systems Engineering or related area<br/>• Provide a significant educational base for progression to Incorporated Engineer level
