Education / Teacher Training, Year 2

Freshers week was a good opportunity to get to know my course mates. The freshers fayre also made me really excited to get started. The on site accommodation has good up-keep and is an affordable price. The location on cyncoed campus is also really desirable. I spent a great amount of time in the library. It has a really relaxed and comfortable atmosphere, and the staff are very helpful. All other areas of the university, such as classrooms and student union are also cosy and filled with helpful staff. The course is great and I really enjoy the lectures. Some modules are versatile in which we can choose our own context to research based on our personal interests. Cardiff is a wonderful city. There are so many unique places to explore and the atmosphere is so friendly.

Enjoyable university experience

(5)·By cerys k·speech and language therapy· Jun 2023
Didn't stay in university accomodation so cannot comment on those. However facilities on campus were great, various options of places to grab food and a coffee, and plenty of workspaces.

The course has been enjoyable, lecturers and staff very passionate about subject and make lectures interesting and interactive. Would reccomend if you are thinking about doing a speech and language therapy course!

Design, Year 3

It was exciting and new It was good. At first I was nervous elseeing the size of the room and the single bed. I felt scared and the room didn't feel right. But the longer I was there the more it began to feel like my own. The space was mine and became a product of me. The facilities are amazing. We have access to so much and are able to try workshops in so many departments. I wish I'd taken more advantage of them before covid. We were allowed to do so much and given so much freedom. We were able to learn about the course as well as look into areas to go into after our degree. The lectures weren't boring, they allowed us to explore ideas and talk them through with other students and teachers. The course was so much more than expected and so much more than I thought it would be. It's allowed me to move in directions I never thought I could. I was scared at first moving from a small town, but the city is so exciting. It's big but not too big it's as if it's the perfect size to enjoy and not get lost in. There is so much life and enjoyment that I didn't know I could feel for one place.

It was good, very fun filled, wristbands were offered beforehand as well which were beneficial Cyncoed campus accommodation is great. Very basic but does the job and couldn't ask for more! Cleaners come in once. Week which is so helpful The library is great, open 24/7, And the sports facilities are elite Good timings and good contend covered Amazing, not too busy but also busy enough to be fun

Really good, lots of events shown over social media and face to face in uni I had very good standard of accommodation at uni, also the catered meals were excellent One thing I liked was that the facilities across the uni were available most the time to any students, to get free time/study. This really benefited me with my studies, and students union brought students together to socialise as well as learn. The course was taught in a way that was helpful to all, and the assistance was always there if you needed it. The course itself is enjoyable and lessons are made to be fun! City life was excellent, I really liked how the uni were involved within this, for example having security at night to make students feel safe when returning home.
