You’ll study four modules that will provide the foundational skills for a career in genomics. You can also study on a modular basis towards your Professional Development (CPD).<br/><br/>**Why St Georges?**<br/>NHSE preferred provider – As well as extensive links with healthcare providers across London, we are also contracted as an NHSE preferred provider for this course.<br/><br/>Flexibility – Develop your skills with flexible study around existing commitments and join a global community of students.<br/><br/>Global expertise – You’ll be taught by expert lecturers with a global reputation in drug discovery and genomic testing and gain an internationally recognised qualification.<br/><br/>**Course content**<br/>You’ll learn how to interpret genomic data and how genomic data can be integrated into mainstream practice for the diagnosis of diseases such as neurological and cardiovascular disorders.<br/><br/>You’ll complete four modules:<br/><br/><br/>- Fundamentals of Human Genetics and Genomics<br/><br/><br/>- Genomics of Common and Rare Inherited Diseases<br/><br/><br/>- Variant Interpretation<br/><br/><br/>- Genomics of Cardiovascular Disorders or Genomics of Neurological Disorders<br/><br/><br/>All modules can also be studied on a modular basis towards your Professional Development (CPD).<br/><br/>**Interpret genomic data**<br/>You’ll look at the role of genetics in disease and how genomic information can explain disease mechanisms and biology. We’ll also share examples of both common and rare diseases from across the entire healthcare spectrum to demonstrate how to interpret genomic data.
