My experience at Napier has been great so far. The lecturers are so helpful and down to earth and I never have or experience worry when asking for helpful. The campus is great and easy to navigate around and if you need help or are lost there is always someone to ask. There is great facilities and it's helpful that you can use any campus. Great experience. My course is brilliant and am enjoying it so far. They are also always messaging us with career opportunity and help for further education.

Marketing, Year 3

(5)·By Orla R·Marketing· Jul 2021
My freshers week for International festival and event management with marketing was very effective. It gave me a good insight on what my course would entail and who to contact if I had any issues or needed to ask any question. It was also a great opportunity to meet my lectures and complete team building exercises to get to know my course mates. Edinburgh Napier Accommodation was very modern. The room had a double bed, desk with shelves and drawers, wardrobe was a good size and an un suite. The shared kitchen and living room was definitely big enough for the 7 of us living in the flat with 3 sofas a tv, bar stool seating, 2 fridges, 2 sets of jobs and 2 ovens and plenty of storage for us all. I made great use of library facilities with a library on every campus. Merchiston has a 24 hour computer lab which is very useful near deadline and my favourite space to go study and do assignments. The student union is a great social space and is in town which is nice as it's an escape from University and constantly social events on. I love my course as it was very interactive and lectures are very personal and always willing to answer questions. The course is good with practical elements within it, such as planning your own event. A good mixture of group and individual work is throughout the course. There is also opportunities to select modules so you can do work that you are really interested in. I really love Edinburgh. It really feels like a home away from home. The city has a very warm and welcoming feeling about it and is easy to navigate around. Moving to a new city can be overwhelming but I settled so quickly. There is loads to do and see in the city to with great social aspects.

Business Studies / Management, Year 2

I was very exicted at freshers week. Meeting new people with different cultures excited me. The accomodation provided by them is very comfortable including all facilities such s heters, washing machine, dish washer etc It has a perfect library with wide range of books which are helpful. Each classroom is designed with induvidual chairs, boards, lcd screens. The good thing about course is we increase our critical thinking. Lectures are simply defined as doing activities. Edinburgh is one of the beautiful cities in Scotland. Public transport buses made everyones life easier.

Loads of activities on, as well as a Facebook page with a calendar of all events. Good variation of activities. Nice and new accommodation, close to the uni and local shops and leisure. Library is great open 24 hours as well as the computing centre! Uni has their own gym over at sighthill with a very cheap membership Really interesting stuff. All the modules tie into each other. Lecturers are all great and really know their stuff Very busy and lively. Especially at Christmas time with the markets. Lots of tourists etc. Benefit of big city means transport is dead easy.

Forensic Science, Year 2

Welcoming for postgraduate students. I didn't use this. I stayed in Glasgow and commuted. Really nice decor - modern and inviting. Wide open spaces for learning. The lecturers were fantastic and incredibly knowledgeable. I could approach them about anything. I'm already used to that city, so it was no different from what I know. Busy traffic at times but close to motorway links as well as public transports

Media Studies, Year 1

It was great to be able to speak to my new classmates. I don’t live in their accommodation. The facilities include everything necessary for studying at university including laptops that you can rent out and quiet computer areas. They’re very interesting and cover a vast range of areas. I don’t live in the city. There’s a lot of practical coursework
