It is an exciting and developing area of study.<br/><br/>Our MSc in Clinical Neuropsychiatry will allow students to develop the skills and knowledge required to specialize in neuropsychiatry as a clinician or academic. We welcome biomedical and psychology graduates, as well as psychiatrists, neurologists and psychologists onto the course. (Please note that the course is not itself a clinical qualification; in order to practice as a clinician in a neuropsychiatry team you will need to undertake specific clinical training, such as medical school, nursing training, clinical psychology, occupational therapy etc.)<br/><br/>We will use a delivery method that will ensure students have a rich, exciting experience from the start. Access to EEG/ ERPs and TMS equipment at King’s College Hospital.<br/><br/><br/>- Clinical observership (subject to availability) - including practical experience of clinical assessment and management. This scheme will give the student exposure to the work of the wide variety of neuropsychiatry services in the South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust (SLaM) and related disciplines such as neurology and neuropsychology within the wider King’s Health Partners (KHP) – particularly those at King’s College Hospital (KCH). These modules will include clinical supervision and mentorship in presenting case discussions.<br/><br/><br/>**Teaching** <br/><br/><br/>- Throughout the course, you’ll learn from international experts across academic and clinical aspects of the subject. We have an experienced teaching team within the course, and we bring in other specialists for wider topics around the subject. <br/><br/><br/>- Whether you want to hear the latest developments in cognitive science, or you’re interested in industry collaboration, there’s a good chance it will be covered in our lectures. <br/><br/><br/>- As well as formal lectures, we also use seminars and other teaching formats. The course has a strong clinical element where you’ll experience the practical side of assessment and management. <br/>
