Access to Science (or similar subject) with 60 credits overall and 45 Level 3 credits: 33 must be from units awarded at Distinction (including 15 credits in Chemistry and a further 15 credits in one of Biology, Mathematics and Physics), with the remaining 9 Level 3 credits at Merit. Also required: GCSE grade 6/B in English language and Mathematics (or equivalent). Numeracy/Literacy modules within an Access to HE Diploma are not accepted to meet the GCSE requirements.

36 points overall or an aggregate score of 18 from three Higher Levels. Must include grade 6 in Higher Level Chemistry and grade 6 in one of Higher Level Biology, Mathematics or Physics. Notes: The total point score of 36 includes TOK/EE. IB students studying the new Mathematics curriculum would be required to study either Mathematics - Analysis and Approaches or Mathematics - Applications and Interpretation at Higher Level to meet the subject requirement for this programme. Also required: GCSE grade 6/B in English language and Mathematics (or equivalent). GCSE/IGCSE Mathematics requirement can be met via Mathematics: Analysis and Approaches or Mathematics: Applications and Interpretation achieved at Standard Level/Higher Level grade 2 or Middle Years Mathematics grade 5.
