Law / Legal Studies, Year 2
(4.8)·By Jia M·Law· Jul 2021 Academics wise, it was very informative. The university prepared us well with what is ahead of us for the academic year. Social wise, it was very fun, people were friendly and there were lots and lots of events and societies to join. Amazing, super amazing. I live in Bankside Hall. Despite having to walk 30 mins to school, everything else is perfect. The best thing is the food, hands down. They offered a variety of food and their desserts, hot chocolate ...super yummy! Receptionists are also very friendly and approachable. And most importantly security is good. Great. LSE is in London so you can't expect much of the campus life anyway, but I personally love the city life and how the university is located in the centre of London. Library is amazing, I love the swirling stairs especially. Sports facilities are not too bad either, I did boxing and Muay Thai and the facilities are pretty good. The course is great because it has a perfect blend of academic rigour and career exposure. It prepares students with any ambitions, whether you want to practice as a solicitor, a barrister, or be an academic, or want to pursue something else, the course prepares you well. Other than regular lectures and classes, there are lots of external talks which are super helpful. Teachers and professors are also extremely helpful and response to my doubts promptly. Amazing. I can't stress how much I love being London. I love that almost everywhere is in walking distance. I love the weather here, it's not too cold and when the sun's out, it's the best. I love the buildings here and the people around me makes this place even more beautiful.
