This four-year degree will help you develop an in-depth knowledge of computer engineering. Youll gain programming and practical skills required to combine software and hardware. This will enable you to integrate computer systems into a wide range of electronic systems.<br/><br/>Working on projects designed in collaboration with leading companies, youll develop the skills and knowledge demanded by industry through:<br/><br/>computing laboratories<br/>practical project work<br/>research-informed teaching.<br/>Throughout the degree you will develop skills in Java, C and Python and will gain experience programming microcontrollers and computers, such as the Arduino and Raspberry Pi.<br/><br/>In Stage 3 youll complete an industrial project with a company in the UK or abroad. Working on a real engineering project set by your host business, you will gain vital experience, enhance your CV, and develop invaluable contacts within the industry.

Extended Project
We welcome applications from students offering an Extended Project and value the skills of research and independent learning that it is designed to develop. If you offer an Extended Project, it will be taken into account as part of your application profile, but we will not usually include it in offer conditions for this degree programme.
