As one of the largest and most rapidly growing industries in the world, both the business and the human aspects of tourism have become well-established fields of study. The department’s strong links with industry, locally and internationally, give students the opportunity to experience tourist destinations of all sizes within the private, public and voluntary sectors across the world. <br/><br/>With destination marketing and economic impact at the heart of the course, students will undertake field trips and real-life cases to bring destinations to life. Designed to give students an understanding of the complexities and requirements of running tourism destinations, field trips also provide an insight into the benefits tourism can have on economic growth.
