We have excellent links with Welsh health boards, so you will have access to a wide range of placement settings across south west Wales, with the nearest maternity hospital right next-door to our Singleton Park campus on the edge of the beautiful Gower Peninsula.<br/><br/>We have an outstanding reputation with our Midwifery degree being ranked 9th in the UK (Guardian University Guide 2022). <br/><br/>You will also join a university that is:<br/><br/>• 15th in the UK for Course Satisfaction - Guardian University Guide 2023<br/>• 12th in the UK for Student Satisfaction – NSS 2021<br/>• UK Top 25 University - Guardian University Guide 2022 to We have an outstanding reputation with our Midwifery degree ranking 5th in the UK (Guardian University Guide 2024). You will also be joining a Top 25 UK University (Guardian University Guide 2024)<br/><br/>Many of our academic staff are registered midwives and active in practice and research, providing an exceptional combination of theoretical rigour, professional insight, and practical expertise.<br/><br/>Our excellent facilities include a realistic clinical suite so you can put your theoretical knowledge into practice in an environment that reflects as closely as possible the actual conditions that you will experience when you go on placement in a hospital or community setting.<br/><br/>On graduation, you will be eligible to apply for Registered Midwife status with the Nursing and Midwifery Council and to register as a midwife for work in EU and EEA.
