Accounting and Finance MSc

Develop an in-depth understanding of accounting and finance theory and learn how to apply it in practice. This MSc prepares you for careers in accounting, finance and related fields. You'll learn to analyse accounting information and financial decisions while developing the technical and practical skills employers value, including programming, financial modelling and FinTech applications.

You can tailor the course to your strengths and career ambitions through a range of optional units. Available topics include quantitative finance, programming for finance, technology and financial services, financial statement analysis and equity valuation, investment and portfolio management, and governance for sustainability.

During the summer, you can choose between:

* a dissertation based on an academic or applied research project, or

* a summer internship.

Internship places are competitive and cannot be guaranteed.

Employability and careers:

Among MSc Accounting and Finance graduates from the class of 2024 whose destinations were known, 94% were employed six months after completing the course, with 44% working in the UK. Recent graduate employers include Deloitte, ICICI Bank, Bank Muscat, Aston Martin and Siemens Energy.
