Prosthodontics is a component mono-specialty of the field of Restorative Dentistry.<br/><br/>In this course, you will have the opportunity to reinforce your clinical skills in endodontics and periodontics. With these skills, you will be able to deliver high-quality integrated care in a team environment. There is also a focus on the scientific and biological background of dental diseases and their treatment.<br/><br/>You will develop your skills to a specialist level in fixed and removable prosthodontics. This will be done through multi-disciplinary patient-centred clinical practice including:<br/><br/><br/>- aesthetics dentistry, including smile design<br/><br/><br/>- digital dentistry workflow in prosthodontics<br/><br/><br/>- full mouth rehabilitation<br/><br/><br/>- implant dentistry<br/><br/><br/>- management of tooth surface loss<br/><br/><br/>- minimal intervention dentistry<br/><br/><br/>- science and selection of biomaterials<br/><br/><br/>- <br/><br/><br/>You will learn a broad range of specialist-level skills including:<br/><br/><br/>- prosthodontic management following head and neck cancer care<br/><br/><br/>- prosthodontic management required for acquired maxillofacial and dentoalveolar defects due to:<br/><br/><br/>maxillofacial trauma<br/>developmental and congenital abnormalities including cleft lip and palate<br/>other developmental disturbances of the teeth (e.g. amelogenesis imperfecta, and hypodontia)<br/><br/>You will develop as a leader in the healthcare setting by developing competence in:<br/><br/><br/>- human factors and ergonomics<br/><br/><br/>- leadership and management skills<br/><br/><br/>- clinical governance<br/>
