What is MSc Energy Engineering with Environmental Management?
You’ll master fundamental energy engineering principles. You can tailor your learning to your interests with options in renewable energy, including solar, wind, wave and hydropower, further in nuclear energy, power systems and energy storage, as well as conventional sources, such as oil and gas. You'll also select from options specialising in environmental management including environmental assessment and its effectiveness and environmental processes. Ultimately, you’ll recognise the long-term goal of renewable energy alongside the broader reality of a sustainable energy mix.
Alongside research-led teaching from academics specialising in diverse energy fields, you'll gain direct insight into industry practice and real-world energy applications through guest lectures from industry experts and site visits, such as our annual trip to Sizewell B nuclear power station and tours of our on-campus PV and building-integrated PV installations. You’ll also benefit from access to our industry-standard facilities at Productivity East.
