Advanced Practice Master of Science - MSc (UG)

Advanced Practitioners (APs) play an important part in the modern NHS, helping to improve patient care and respond to the changing needs of our communities. APs are experienced, registered healthcare professionals who work with a high level of autonomy, using their clinical judgement to make decisions in complex situations.

Our Centre for Advancing Practice accredited course is designed to help you meet the four pillars of advanced practice – clinical practice, leadership and management, education and research. Through a mix of theory and clinically focused learning, you’ll develop the core capabilities set out in the national Multi-professional Framework for Advanced Practice.

You’ll build confidence in clinical history taking, examination and consultation skills, and you’ll expand your practice to support advanced-level roles. The course offers a supportive way to strengthen your knowledge, grow your professional identity and prepare for progression across a range of specialties.

To tailor your studies, you can choose from specialist routes including Primary Care, Critical Care, Emergency Care, Mental Health Care and Cancer Care.
