Food Science (Food Biotechnology) MSc

This course provides an in-depth exploration of how bioengineering and new advanced biotechnological techniques are transforming the development of innovative food ingredients and formulations, including alternatives to traditional animal-sourced proteins. ​

You will advance your expertise in key areas of food science, human health and sustainability alongside the regulatory, ethical and social considerations that influence the use of biotechnology in the food sector. ​

The course also equips you with practical knowledge of cutting-edge bioanalytical methods used in biotechnology and food safety, preparing you to address complex challenges across the modern food system.

By the end of the course, you will be able to:
