Modern transport systems face complex challenges ranging from growing congestion and global and local environmental pressures to the need for healthier, more equitable mobility systems.  

Cities around the world are planning transport networks and mass transit systems that can adapt to societal and urban changes, support sustainable travel and exploit the potential of new technologies and artificial intelligence. 

This course equips you with the knowledge, analytical skills and planning techniques to meet these challenges head-on. You will learn to design and evaluate transport systems using robust evidence, sustainable and equitable principles, state-of-the-art modelling tools and advanced data analysis.  

You will also explore the strategic use of artificial intelligence and develop a deep understanding of travel behaviour that gives you the expertise to shape sustainable transport solutions that are futureproof, fair and fit for a rapidly changing world.

By the end of the course, you’ll be able to:
