Explore actuarial practice in more detail than the BSc, and learn how to use the technical skills you learn in real world scenarios, giving you a bigger step on the professional ladder.<br/><br/>Actuarial Science is all about the study of risk and uncertainty, developing understanding of these business-critical areas and developing methods of quantifying the risks, to help businesses make better financial decisions. <br/><br/>The MMath in Mathematics and Actuarial Science builds on the BSc and allows you to apply the technical skills gained to real-world type situations, such as managing risk in a pension scheme, or identifying investments for an insurer.<br/><br/>As well as developing your skills for the workplace, this degree offers the potential for additional exemptions from the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries (IFoA) exams in the core practice subjects (CP1, CP2 and CP3).
