Our degrees with a foundation year offer a route into degree level study for mature students without standard entry qualifications.<br/><br/>The MPlan Urban Studies and Planning with Foundation Year is a five-year course, professionally accredited by the Royal Town Planning Institute, which leads to an undergraduate Master of Planning qualification. The foundation year of the programme provides people with non-standard entry qualifications a thorough and supportive academic preparation for successful degree level study in the **Department of Urban Studies and Planning**. On successful completion of the foundation year, students will progress to **MPlan Urban Studies and Planning**. <br/><br/>The foundation year to this degree is carefully designed to build your confidence in your abilities, develop essential academic and study skills, and provide the subject specific knowledge essential for success.
