You’ll gain an in-depth understanding of international human rights law while developing the skills to pursue a dynamic career.<br/><br/>By studying at Sussex, you’ll:<br/><br/><br/>- gain in-depth knowledge of the international human rights law system and its limitations, including how law can further the protection of human rights<br/><br/><br/>- explore a range of interdisciplinary perspectives and approaches<br/><br/><br/>- specialise in your chosen area of interest through a selection of optional modules<br/><br/><br/>- benefit from our relationships with local, national and international organisations through opportunities such as our Human Rights Law Clinic, where you’ll apply your skills to real-world issues<br/><br/><br/>- learn from our experts who have experience of engaging in human rights advocacy, policy and litigation.<br/><br/><br/>Throughout your course, you’ll study key international and regional human rights frameworks. You’ll consider the interaction of law and politics, along with theoretical critiques. Crucially, you’ll apply your studies to real-world situations, and learn how international human rights law is used by actors such as lawyers, social movements and NGOs.<br/><br/>When you graduate, you’ll be ready for a range of careers across international human rights law, policy and advocacy.
